- Spoon, shaker bottle or blender

Spoon Method

Measure the desired amount of protein powder and place it into a tall glass. A serving of protein powder usually consists of one to two scoops.

Pour the appropriate amount of cold milk into a glass. Most brands of protein powder suggest using 6 to 8 ounces of milk.

Stir the milk and protein using a spoon. Change stirring directions every few seconds. Continue stirring until the protein shake is well-blended.
Blender Bottle Method

Remove the lid and blender ball from the blender bottle. Set aside.

Scoop the desired amount of protein powder into the blender bottle. Pour cold milk in the bottle.

Drop the blender ball into the bottle, and replace the lid. Shake the blender bottle until the contents are mixed.
Electric Blender Method

Remove the lid from the blender, following the specific manufactures instructions. Put the protein powder into the blender, and then the milk.
