How to Take Protein Shakes After Working Out

After exercising, your body's muscles take in nutrients more effectively and process carbohydrates more easily. Drinking protein shakes after working out gives your body lean muscle support and recovery. Protein shakes are more effective than eating foods high in protein because the liquid can be absorbed more quickly. Whey protein absorbs the quickest of any forms of protein.
