Whey protein concentrate is manufactured by drying out the whey and removing non-protein constituents, which result in a product that is 25 percent or more protein. Whey protein isolate is also sold as a powder and is 90 percent or more protein. Eat whey protein supplements by mixing the powder with water or juice.

The whey powder, or whey protein concentrate or isolate can also be mixed into a smoothie or yogurt so its taste is disguised. Mixing the powder into pudding, soy milk or other food is also an option.
