Energy Supplements for Women

Energy supplements for women come in various form of drinks, pills and food. People look for more sources to boost their energy because of the high energy demands of work and daily activities. According to Fitness Magazine, companies are now producing energy supplements targeting men and women for a strong and healthy living, moving away from the traditional strength and buffed fitness marketing.

  1. Her Energy

    • The energy supplement drink contains different energy boosters such as caffeine, sugar, taurine and ginseng but with less concentration than an ordinary energy drink. Taurine is an amino acid which some research suggests may improve athletic performance, according to the Mayo Clinic. The drink comes in pink lemonade flavor and color. A sugar-free version also is available with only the vitamins and ginseng as the apparent energy sources.

    Dan-E

    • Dan-E stands for Day and Night Energy Supplement. It is an energy supplement in caplet form meant specifically for women as it contains ingredients promoting female hormone production. The product also claims to supply other nutrients especially to the more mature women besides energy. The supplement, which contains a mixture of several herbs and minerals, does not contain caffeine.

    Cougar

    • Cougar is an energy drink formulated for women because of its effects on female hormone production to help with energy, stress reduction and weight control. Its primary energy source is caffeine. The drink also contains a mixture of several vitamins and herbal extracts. Sucralose is used as the sweetener and citric acid for the flavoring. Although the regular Cougar energy drink claims to provide only moderate energy boost, a stronger formulation called Cougar Double Shot is available.

    Lady Pep Energy

    • Lady Pep Energy is a supplement manufactured by Natural Balance. Its main energy sources are vitamin C, rhodiola plant extract and caffeine from green tea extract. More herbal ingredients such as licorice, lyceum and eleuthero are present for other purposes such as nutritional supplement. Lady Pep Energy supplement is available in capsule form. Two capsules are recommended for daily intake. No particular age group is targeted.

    Damzl Fuel

    • Fuel is the energy drink manufactured by Damzl, a company known for its sports apparel and products for women. Damzl Fuel supplies energy through its ingredients caffeine, taurine, vitamins and minerals.
