Uses

Dimethylglycine can be used as an anticonvulsant to prevent and stop seizures in epileptics. It is also taken as a supplement to improve athletic performance and strengthen the immune system.
Considerations

While dimethylglycine has been shown in studies not to cause harm to people who take it, clinical trials have not proven its effectiveness in treating seizures, according to "Dietary Supplements: Toxicology and Clinical Pharmacology."
