Supplements to Increase Testosterone Levels

Testosterone is a key hormone for building muscle and, especially for fitness enthusiasts, it is natural to want to maximize its levels in the body. Steroids are, of course, illegal and dangerous, and should be avoided. Still, there are a number of legal supplements that will still boost testosterone levels.
  1. Zinc

    • Zinc is a basic mineral supplement that has been shown to increase testosterone levels, especially in men who were low on the hormone to begin with. Its main role is to help convert free cholesterol to testosterone.

    ZMA

    • For greater absorption efficiency, a popular supplement takes zinc and combines it with magnesium and vitamin B6, which aids in zinc's cholesterol conversion process. It is a relatively inexpensive bodybuilding supplement, and the magnesium may also help you fall asleep more easily.

    Tribulus Terrestris

    • Tribulus Terrestris also helps raise testosterone levels, but it does so indirectly, by elevating the leutenizing hormone (LH). LH stimulates the testes to produce more testosterone.

    Humanofort

    • Humanofort is a new European combination of peptides, or a series of amino acids, which are the basic building blocks of muscle production. It increases production of certain adrenal hormones that, when boosted, also boost the body's construction and repair of muscle.

    Viraloid

    • Viraloid, like Tribulus Terrestris, also raises levels of LH. It does so with a natural blend of steroidal alkaloids derived from plants.
