How to Take Dandelion & Astragalus Together
You can take dandelion and astragalus together as a tonic and purifier for several abdominal organs. Dandelion is a beneficial herbs for rapidly removing toxins from the liver while also stimulating the kidneys. Additionally, dandelion affects the gallbladder's production, thus healing constipation. Chinese medicine holds astragalus to be a spleen and lung tonifier. Both herbs affect only positive feedback cycles in the body; for example, stimulating appetite and raising body temperature.Things You'll Need

Purchase dried dandelion root and dried astragalus root in cut form. You can also purchase whole root of either herb and cut it into small pieces. Alternately, harvest fresh dandelion and astragalus roots, wash and cut them into small pieces. You can use them fresh with the same effects.

Purchase or set out any other herbs you would like to use in combination with the dandelion and astragalus.

Mix equal portions of dandelion and astragalus root into a bowl. Mix a half-portion of each additional herb into the bowl as well and stir thoroughly.

Bring cool water in a kettle to a rolling boil.

In a non-metal container, add 2 tbsp. of your herbal mix per cup of water if your herbs are fresh. Add 1 tbsp. if the herbs are dried.

Pour the boiling water into the container and cover it. Let it steep for five to 10 minutes before garnishing it with honey, fruits or any other accompaniments. Let the tea cool sufficiently before drinking. Drink once daily.
