    • 1

Lay some paper towels immediately over the fish oil. Allow the oil to soak into the paper towels, and then throw them away. You will still have some fish oil left on the surface where the spill occurred.

    • 2

Add dish soap to a gallon of hot water. Use a dish soap that is designed for breaking up grease.

    • 3

Dip your rag into the water and use it to wipe up the rest of the fish oil. You may need to wet your rag and wring it out a few times to make sure that the area is clean.

    • 4

Dry your surface with a towel.

    • 5

Mix half a cup of water and half a cup of white distilled vinegar together. The water doesn't have to be hot.

    • 6

Dip a rag into the vinegar water and use it to wipe down the surface where the spill occurred. This will get rid of any lingering fish oil odors.
