How to Use Protein Supplements Powder
Protein powder from a variety of sources--whey, soy and egg white being three popular options--is a popular nutritional supplement. It's recommended for use by those whose diet is otherwise deficient in protein or by those in an intensive, muscle-building exercise regime or training program. One should be careful not to use protein powders excessively, however, as the excess protein may cause kidney problems over time.Things You'll Need

1
Measure the suggested serving size of protein powder into 8 to 12 ounces of water, milk, yogurt or fruit juice. Suggested serving sizes vary greatly between products; a typical range is between 1/4 and 1/2 cups per serving. Usually a measuring scoop of the appropriate size is included in the container of protein powder.

2
Stir the protein powder and liquid together vigorously. You may prefer to use a cup with a tight-fitting lid, which allows you to shake the powder and liquid to blend them together, or to mix your protein powder in a blender.
-
3
