Alternative Methods for Treating GERD

GERD or Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease is sometimes referred to as Acid Reflux. GERD is a condition in which the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) muscle, spontaneously opens and allows acids to flow from the stomach into the esophagus and throat. LES muscles control the valve located between the esophagus and the stomach. Ginger can be made into tea by peeling the fresh ginger root and cutting it into three or four thin slices before placing it in boiling water.
