Side Effects of Androplex

Androplex is supplement that is designed to help its users gain lean muscle mass, increase energy and increase overall strength levels. The product has a short ingredients list, which includes androstenedione, tribulus terrestris and DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone). All three ingredients increase hormone levels in the body, which in turn causes the body to produce more testosterone than normal. As with any supplement or medicine, there is a chance that side effects will occur. Those who are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or are nursing should not use Androplex. Before using Androplex, consult your physician to make sure that it is safe for your use.
  1. Baldness

    • If used over an extended period of time, Androplex may cause baldness in some users. The ingredients in Androplex increase testosterone levels in the body. If a person already produces high amounts of testosterone naturally, taking Androplex will cause the body to produce more testosterone than necessary. Avoid this side effect by having your testosterone levels checked before use.

    Acne

    • Acne can develop or worsen from the use of Androplex. High testosterone levels cause the glands of the body to produce more oil than normal. This oil appears on the skin and clogs pores, which in turn leads to acne. Bathe regularly and ask your doctor about acne treatment options if needed. For small outbreaks of acne, there are several non-prescription options available over-the-counter.

    Prostate Issues

    • Using Androplex can cause prostate issues to develop or worsen, especially in people that have a high natural level of testosterone. Excessive testosterone in the body has the potential to enlarge the prostate. This condition is often very painful, and may cause the person experiencing it to have difficulty urinating. To help avoid this side effect when using Androplex, have a prostate exam conducted before use. Males over the age of 30 are more susceptible to prostate-related issues than others.

    Behavioral Changes

    • The elevated levels of testosterone produced by Androplex use may cause behavioral issues to develop in some people. Increased anxiety, aggression, depression and other mental changes are possible side effects. If any of these issues develop while you are using Androplex, discontinue use and contact your physician as soon as possible. If you have preexisting mental health issues, consider using a different supplement that does not contain steroids.

    Liver Problems

    • Androplex can cause liver damage, and it is more likely to result if the dosing instructions on the packaging are not followed. The liver is responsible for filtering excess testosterone out of the blood. If too much testosterone is present in the body, it will cause the liver to work harder than normal to remove it. If this continues for a long enough period of time, liver damage can result, and in extreme cases liver failure. Those with preexisting health conditions affecting the liver should not use Androplex.
