Side Effects of Nanox9

Nanox9 is advertised as "an anabolic nitric oxide injection" formula, but the product is really a dietary supplement blended with amino acids and soy. One of the primary ingredients of Nanox9's "Hardcore Proprietary Blend" is the amino acid L-arginine, which poses a risk for side effects when taken in supplement form.

  1. Types of Side Effects

    • Possible side effects of L-arginine include abdominal pain, headaches, numbness, bloating, diarrhea and gout. L-arginine also increases outbreaks of cold sores in patients prone to herpes simplex, reports the Physicians Desktop Reference.

    Allergies

    • Some patients develop an allergic reaction to L-arginine, causing wheezing, shortness of breath, an itchy skin rash and chest pain. L-arginine use also worsens asthma in some patients, cautions RxList.

    Drug Interactions

    • When combined with drugs that lower blood pressure levels, L-arginine has the potential to cause low blood pressure, resulting in dizziness and lightheadedness, according to RxList. Drugs that may cause this type of interaction include Viagra, enalapril, amlodipine, hydrochlorothiazide, furosemide and nitroglycerin.

    Warning

    • L-arginine poses an increased risk of side effects in patients with a history of cirrhosis, herpes, hypotension, recent heart attack, diabetes and kidney or liver disease. It may not be safe for you to take Nanox9 if you have any of these conditions.

    Considerations

    • If you are scheduled for surgery at any time while taking Nanox9, it is important to discontinue use 14 days before your procedure. L-arginine poses a risk for uncontrollable bleeding during and after surgery.
