Gastrointestinal Side Effects
-
Quercetin is also known to cause joint pain, acid reflux and heartburn in large doses. However, the recommended daily dose of quercetin is 200 to 500 mg. a day, and the amounts in Stemulite falls well below that. Different people do have differing levels of sensitivity, so discontinue using Stemulite if it upsets your stomach.
High doses of lipoic acid can also cause upset stomach, nausea, diarrhea and flatulence, so do not exceed the recommended dosage of Stemulite.
Racing Heart and Restlessness
-
Lipoic Acid and L-Carnitine have a long anecdotal history of causing racing heart and restlessness in people who are not used to taking them. These symptoms should subside after a few days, when your body becomes accustomed to them.
Headache
-
Headaches have also been reported in people using Stemulite, though no evidence exists to pinpoint what might be causing them. Many more studies on this supplement are needed.
