Androstenedione Steroid Ingredients

Androstenedione, commonly known as "andro", is a muscle building supplement that enables the body to produce excessive amounts of testosterone. Made popular in the 1990s through its connection with various players throughout Major League Baseball, androstenedione was eventually made illegal by the U.S. government through the Controlled Substances Act. The main ingredients of the drug include 19-Nor-Androstenedione, Androstenediol and Androstenedione.

History

• Androstenedione was first introduced as a steroid in the 1990s and was made popular when St. Louis Cardinal's first basemen Mark McGwire admitted using it as a dietary supplement for performance. Prior to this acknowledgment, the supplement had been banned by organizations such as the Anti-doping agency, NCAA, the International Olympic Committee and the NFL due to the health risks and unfair performance boosts it provided. On March 11, 2004, andro was made illegal by the Controlled Substance Act and made possession of the substance a federal crime.

19-Nor-Androstenedione

• 19-Nor-Androstenedione is the first main ingredient present in androstenedione. The chemical, while not as anabolic as testosterone, is used to increase lean muscle mass in users. Compared to other steroid compounds, 19-Nor-Androstenedione does not have many of the associated side effects common with steroids and as a result has become a popular choice for non-professional bodybuilders.

Androstenediol

• Androstenediol (4-AD) is an anabolic testosterone precursor, very similar to androstenedione and androstenediol. It has three main benefits over other anabolic substances in its class: it is three times more effective, it has no conversion to estrodiol or DHT by the liver, and it is more anabolic. Like other steroid compounds, the drug works to boost testosterone levels in users to create excess muscle mass.

Androstenedione

• Androstenedione is a chemical naturally produced in both males and females and is used to create muscle mass in the body. Also produced naturally in pine trees, this chemical is two steps away in the chemical conversion process from being testosterone, meaning that when ingested from an outside source the drug is very effective in facilitating muscle growth. Do not exceed dosages of 50 to100 mg of androstenedione at any given time.
