Side Effects of Andriol

Andriol, an anabolic steroid made up of the compound undecanoate, is a steroid supplement used to increase testosterone, muscle size and endurance in its users. Administered orally, Andriol enters the bloodstream through different means than many syringe-based steroid supplements. As with any anabolic steroid, there are many side effects that can result from use.
  1. Inhibition of Natural Hormones

    • Suppression of natural hormones made in the body is the most common side effect of steroid use. In particular, Andriol inhibits the production of HPTA, or the hypothalamic pituitary testicular axis once the user stops the steroid cycle. Eventually, the body can no longer produce the necessary amounts of testosterone, leaving the body out of its equilibrium state.

    Liver Damage

    • Once the liver is finished breaking down the steroid compound, liver enzymes become elevated to a level the body is not used to. While the liver is meant to break down chemicals ingested into the body and carry them into the blood stream, the chemicals present in Andriol can become too much for the liver to process at one time. This can lead to serious, long-term damage of the liver.

    Gynocomastia

    • Gynocomastia refers to the development of excess breast tissue and is a common side effect when using Andriol. When steroids are ingested, the production of excess testosterone forces the body to produce more estrogen as a way to counterbalance the difference. When this happens, the estrogen in the body causes the user to develop female characteristics, manifesting in the development of larger, softer breasts.

    Water Retention

    • It is also common for Andriol users to experience excess water retention during the course of their steroid cycle. When taking any anabolic steroid, it is necessary to drink large amounts of water in order for the drug to work properly. This also leads to the body retaining more water than is normally needed. Muscles subsequently appearing bigger, but at the same time feel softer than normal. This can be seen as either a positive or negative side effect of the drug, depending on the individual.

    Acne

    • Another common side effect of Andriol use is the development of excess acne on the face, chest and back. Elevated levels of testosterone in the body are the main cause, however increased sebaceous gland activity can also cause oily skin. Combining with bacteria and dead skin particles, this eventually causes pores to become clogged at a level the body is not used to and eventually leads to acne.
