  Prep the skin. Before you use Testim, you need to make sure that the area of the skin that it is getting applied to is clean and dry. With that being said, wash your hands, upper arms and shoulders and dry them off completely.

  Apply the gel. Place the gel on your upper arms and shoulders first thing in the morning at the same time every day. Rub it in thoroughly until it is completely absorbed and the skin has become dry. Do not apply the gel to skin that is broken.

  Wash your hands. Testim is a very powerful substance that can be spread to other people if it comes in contact with their skin. In order to avoid this from happening, wash your hands really well after applying the gel.

  Cover the area up. After the gel has been applied, do not put your clothes on right away. Wait a few minutes to make sure the site is completely dry. When you do put on your clothes, make sure to cover the whole location.

  Avoid water. After you have applied the Testim gel, avoid contact with water such as swimming and bathing for a minimum of 2 hours. Otherwise, there is a chance that the gel will not get fully absorbed.
