How to Make Alkalizing Lemon Water
Lemons contain a high percentage of citric acid, but the juice and flesh of the lemon actually have an alkaline effect on your body's pH level once it's broken down in the digestive system. Alkaline substances help neutralize excess acid in your digestive system that otherwise wears down your immune system and causes your body to heal more slowly. Putting a bit of lemon into a glass of drinking water daily is an inexpensive way to keep your immune system strong and balanced.Things You'll Need

Basic Alkaline Lemon Water Recipe
-
1
Fill a pitcher with 1 gallon of filtered water.
-
2
Add 1 teaspoon of sea salt and 1 teaspoon of coral calcium powder to the filtered water. Stir the water with a long-handled stirring spoon until the salt and calcium powder are dissolved.
-
3
Wash a fresh lemon, cut it in half, and extract the juice by grinding the halves on a citrus juicer.
-
4
Pour the juice into the water and stir thoroughly. The lemon alkaline water is ready to serve.
-
5
Stir the lemon alkaline water before each additional pouring, as any salt and coral calcium powder that didn't completely dissolve may settle in the bottom of the pitcher.
