What Are the Side Effects of Mega Ditex With Chromium?

Produced by Calvin Scott & Company, Mega Ditex with Chromium is a type of multi-vitamin designed to aid in weight loss. Despite the fact that Mega Ditex contains natural vitamins and minerals there are side effects associated with some of its ingredients.
  1. Ingredients

    • The makers of Mega Ditex with Chromium list its ingredients as chromium, iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin D3, niacin, Vitamin B6, pantothentic acid and carbomethycellulose.

    Side Effects

    • Chromium poses a risk for skin irritation, headaches, dizziness, nausea and changes in mood changes and coordination, reports RxList. Niacin is known to cause skin flushing or redness, upset stomach, gas, dizziness and mouth pain.

    Warning

    • The manufacturer's label for Mega Ditex with Chromium warns that failing to take the capsule with water may cause the pill to expand in your throat and cause choking.

    Risks

    • Some patients may experience allergic reactions to the ingredients in Mega Ditex with Chromium. For this reason, the manufacturer recommends that you seek emergency medical attention if you experience chest pain, difficulty swallowing or breathing or vomiting after taking the vitamin.

    Considerations

    • Because the effects of chromium upon fetal development are unknown, avoid taking Mega Ditex while pregnant. If you have a history of kidney problems, chromate allergies, depression, anxiety, mental illness, liver or gallbladder disease, angina, low blood pressure or intestinal ulcers, it may not be safe for you to use Mega Ditex because the vitamin contains chromium and niacin, cautions RxList.
