How to Treat ADHD With Supplements

- Multivitamin (children's or adult depending on the ADHD sufferer)
- Magnesium supplements according to the following daily intake chart:
- Children from 0-3 years need 80 mg
- Children from 4-8 years need 130 mg
- Children from 9-13 years need 240 mg
- Adult and adolescent males need 400 mg
- Adult and adolescent females need 300 mg

Start by ensuring that the ADHD sufferer eats a balanced diet with few foods containing artificial colors and/or flavors. Avoid sweets.

Give an age-appropriate multivitamin every day, preferably in the morning.

Purchase Magnesium supplements at your local drug or health food store. Refer to the chart above and make sure you buy enough to last more than a day or two.

Give the Magnesium supplements to the child or adult with ADHD. Be careful not to give more than the recommended dosage.
