How to get help with Vitamin D

The symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency are low energy, fatigue, low immunity, depression and sleep irregularities. Does any of this sound familiar? If so, you could be suffering from a Vitamin D deficiency. According to the Vitamin D Council, if you completely avoid the sun you may need 4,000 units per day. Now the old guide lines are out, on Vitamin D. Now, the new guide line for adults is 2,000 - 5,000 units per day.

      You can get your required Vitamin D by getting 15 minutes of sun, everyday in the early morning or late afternoon. This must be with out sunblock. Very few people get enough Vitamin D through diet alone.

      You may find it more convenient to get your, 1000-5,000 units per day by taking vitamin D supplements.

      Your Doctor can do a blood test to check your level of Vitamin D. If you choose not to visit a Doctor, try the 15 minutes of sun a day, unprotected. Getting more sun will not help your vitamin level.

      If the daily sun is not a option, try to see if you have improvement in your health with low supplements at 1,000 - 2.000 units a day.
