    • Protein is also an important factor for hair growth, because this is really what hair is. It can be found in powdered form and in meats, dairy products, beans, legumes and fish.

    Fats

    • Essential fatty acids help give shine and elasticity to the skin and hair. They can be found in capsule or oil form as supplements and they can be found in foods such as flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, pine nuts, walnuts and salmon.
