How to Find a Gluten Free Multivitamin
-
1
Ask your gastroenterologist, if you see one regularly. If you're being treated for a gluten intolerance, gluten allergy, Celiac disease, or some other GI issue that requires regular visits to a gastroenterologist, ask him or her to recommend a gluten free multivitamin.
-
2
Perform an internet search engine search for "gluten free multivitamin." Be careful--some information on the Internet is old and out of date. Write down the names of some multivitamins that appear not to have gluten in them.
-
3
Call the manufacturers of the multivitamins you identified, and ask whether they have gluten in their formulas. When you speak to the customer service representative, ask them to email you information that documents the fact that their multivitamin is gluten free.
-
4
Go to a local health food store or grocery store with an extensive supplement section, and find a sales clerk who can answer questions. Many sales clerks in these stores will know which multivitamins are gluten free.
-
5
Search for message boards devoted to Celiac disease, gluten intolerance, and gluten allergies. Many message board users will share tips with each other, and you will find information there if you register and ask.
-
6
Contact the Celiac Disease Foundation to see if they have recommendations for gluten free multivitamins.
