How to Keep a Skinny Waistline
Many people have a skinny waistline during their younger years, but when they begin to grow older they start to put on some weight and change shape. A healthy lifestyle will make it easier to maintain a thin waist and a toned body, but the lifestyle must be maintained continuously. Once a fitness and diet plan has started and the benefits are felt, it often becomes second nature.Instructions

1
Eat well on a daily basis, choosing natural foods whenever possible. While the occasional unhealthy item won't derail your quest for a thin waist, eating a poor diet every day will eventually lead to weight gain. Choose fruits, vegetables, low-fat dairy and whole grains when shopping and cook your meals from scratch.

Perform 30 to 60 minutes of cardiovascular exercise every day to create a calorie deficit and prevent weight gain. Strength training three to five days a week will help put muscle on your entire body and speed your metabolism to prevent fat from storing on your stomach.

3
Reduce bloating by consuming plenty of fiber. Eat fibrous vegetables, such as spinach and cauliflower, and take fiber supplements. Some fiber supplements come as flavored powder that can be mixed with cold water and consumed in drink form.

Participate in regular abdominal exercises to keep your stomach as toned as possible. Sit-ups and crunches are common techniques of toning your abs. Hanging leg raises, where you support your body with only your arms and then raise and lower your legs, help to tone your lower stomach as well as your upper stomach.

5
Drink plenty of water to remain hydrated and prevent your body from holding onto excess water weight. If you fail to drink at least eight glasses of water each day, your body may appear puffy due to water weight.
