Use a bar to complete chin-ups and help build up your arm muscles. Exercise your arms by completing chin-ups. Chin-ups are performed by lifting yourself and using your body weight as resistance. You place your hands on the chin-up bar and lift your chin up over the bar, while keeping your body straight and steady. Start with as many chin-ups as you can comfortably complete and increase the number of chin-ups over time.

Push-ups exercise the chest and arm muscles. Exercise your arms by doing a variety of push-ups. Start with the basic military push up. Then try placing your arms wider apart as you do a push-up, and then place your arms close together and do the push-up. Keep your body straight as you perform the push-up and do not allow one part of your body to get ahead of another part of your body.

Use a barbell to develop arm muscles. Exercise with barbells. Use as heavy a weight as you are comfortable with and perform bicep curls, triceps curls, and butterfly curls.
