How to Become Fat Naturally

Becoming overweight can cause health risks such as high blood pressure, heart disease or diabetes. Consequently, gaining a significant amount of weight should be done only after consulting with a physician and determining that it will not cause adverse health effects. Simply eating junk foods and failing to exercise is not healthy and can result in poor health. If you do decide to pack on the pounds, however, there are a number of ways to do so in a manner that is healthy.

Instructions

    • 1

Eat the right food. Eat foods that are high in good fats, such as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Foods high in these fats include fish, cantaloupe, dark vegetables and oils. Eat these foods in larger portions or eat five or six meals a day.

    • 2

Increase your calorie intake. Add calories to your snacks by including a few slices of avocado or cheese to your crackers, for example. You can also include chicken with your salad or eat nuts between meals. Be sure to eat more calories than you burn.

    • 3

Avoid cardio workouts. Choose weight lifting and light exercises, such as yoga, instead, because cardio will burn fat quickly. Weight lifting will help you gain weight through muscle mass (although not fat), and light exercises will help keep you healthy without burning a high number of calories.

Add supplements to your diet. Add weight-gain supplements to your milk or foods to gain up to an additional 2,000 calories if you're looking to gain a significant amount of weight.
