Sugar Buster Diet Foods
The Sugar Buster Diet is based on consuming foods that are low on the glycemic scale. The diet is based on 30 percent protein, 40 percent fiber and 30 percent healthy fat. It offers a list of foods that are forbidden, as well as foods that can be eaten. Consume plenty of vitamin rich vegetables such as zucchini, peas, lentils, onions, eggplant, lettuce, spinach, squash, mushrooms, asparagus, celery, cabbage, artichokes, broccoli, beans, cucumbers and Brussels sprouts. Certain fruits are allowed on the diet, as well. Try eating fruits rich in antioxidants such as cherries, raspberries, lemons, limes, pears, apples, grapefruit, kiwi, melons, oranges, tomatoes, tangerines and apricots.
Lean Protein

Game meats such as venison are high in protein and low in fat. Grill, bake or broil the meat for the healthiest meals. Those who wish to fry their meat, should use an oil that is low in saturated fats, such as olive oil.

Whole grains are a healthy addition to your diet and are allowed on the Sugar Buster Diet. Eat only 100 percent whole wheat in your breads and cereals for the best results. Refrain from adding any additional sugar to your cereal and oatmeal. Dairy products are rich in calcium and are beneficial in fighting osteoporosis. The Sugar Buster Diet allows low fat dairy products such as yogurt, cottage cheese and cheese in moderation.
