How to Drink Gelatin to Help With Appetite Control

Drinking liquid gelatin is a dieting trick to fight off hunger pangs without consuming a lot of calories. You can drink it before meals to fill you a little bit before eating, or have it as a snack. It's also a good way to consume more water, and the gelatin is said to help burn fat, according to the Brigham and Women's Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Using sugar-free gelatin with an artificial sweetener such as Splenda reduces the empty calories you would normally take in if you used white table sugar for flavoring.
