How to Change a Digital WW Scale to Grams

Weight Watchers markets several digital scales designed to aid you in your weight loss efforts. Not only do the scales accurately measure your current weight to the ounce or gram, but most models indicate body mass index, body fat percentage, bone mass, and water weight percentage. These indicators are calculated based on data you program into the scale, including your current age, height, and gender. A few simple steps will enable the scale to provide accurate information in metric measurements.

Instructions

    • 1

Set the scale to kilograms. Turn the scale upside down to locate the kilograms/pounds switch, and change it to kilograms.

    • 2

Choose a user number. You will need to reprogram the scale to ensure accuracy in metric measurements. Press "set." "User 1" or "P-01" will appear on the screen, depending on the model. To choose a user number other than "1," scroll through the numbers using the arrow buttons. Select your user number by pressing "set" again.

    • 3

Set the height. Once you have chosen a user number, either "HT" or your original height entry will appear on the screen, depending on whether you have previously programmed data into the scale. Enter or change your height in centimeters using the up and down arrows. Hold the button down to scroll quickly. Once you have correctly entered your height, press "set" to confirm. Changes will only be saved if you continue through the set-up/programming process.

    • 4

Set or confirm your age. Once you have entered or changed your height, "Age" or your original age entry will appear. Enter, change, or keep the current entry by using the up and down arrows. Press "set" to save the setting.

    • 5

Set or confirm your gender. After you confirm age data, the screen will flash the gender icon. Change or save your current setting by using the up and down arrows. Press "set" to confirm. Your new settings are now saved. Wait for the screen to go black before attempting to weigh in.
