How to Calculate Lean Mass Index

Your lean body mass is the total weight of your body sans the fat. This includes your bones, organs, and muscles. Calculating your lean muscle mass is a great way to estimate how much muscle you are gaining. Muscle burns calories, and the more muscle you have, the more calories you are capable of burning.
