1
Place AAA batteries in your Taylor Scale. Remove the battery cover found on the back of the scale and then insert the necessary amount of AAA batteries, which will vary based upon which scale you own.

2
Initialize the Taylor scale. After you insert the batteries, turn the scale back right side up. Then, gently press on the face of the scale. The display will blink and then show four zeros. After this happens, the scale will shut off. Once this occurs, you can use the Taylor scale.

Remove your shoes before stepping on the Taylor scale. Wearing shoes could give you an incorrect reading and could also damage the Taylor scale.

5
Place the scale on a flat surface. This will ensure that reading you get is accurate.

6
Step onto the scale. Place both feet on the scale, evenly distributing your weight on both feet.
-
7
Wait while the Taylor scale calculates your weight. While this is happening, dashes will appear on the screen. After about five to 10 seconds, your weight should appear on the screen.
