How to Dress to Avoid Gaining Weight
You might wonder whether your clothes make you look fat--but what's more likely is you're getting fat because of your clothes. Loose-fitting, forgiving garments make it easier to give into temptation. There are ways you can dress to avoid gaining weight, though. Here's how to dress yourself skinny.Instructions

1
Buy new clothes as soon as your dieting and exercising efforts bring you down by a size. If you've got lots of room in your clothes, you could end up gaining the weight right back since you won't feel the pressure of a tight waistband telling you to slow down on the cheese fries.

2
Get rid of anything elastic or drawstring in your wardrobe. Also banish loose, flowy dresses that don't have a defined waist. These clothes might be comfortable and even fashionable, but they can accommodate up to a 30 pound weight gain in some cases. You want to find clothes that won't fit you if you gain 10 pounds--or even less.

3
Buy pants that close with a zipper and button or snaps. Make sure they are your current size without much room for weight gain. You don't want them to be too tight, but you really shouldn't be able to wear them comfortably if you gain more than a few pounds due to PMS or a salty meal.

4
Choose button down blouses instead of tees or knit tops--fitted and in your correct size. Avoid stretchy fabrics like microfiber and Lycra.

5
Get measured for a correct bra size, which will be necessary if you've lost a lot of weight. Make sure the band width in particular is accurate. Always close your bra on the middle setting. You'll be conscious of tightness around your back if the bra grows tight due to weight gain.
