How much exercise should a teenager be doing day?
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, children and adolescents aged 6 to 17 years should do 60 minutes or more of physical activity each day. This can include moderate-intensity exercise, such as brisk walking, playing basketball, or biking, or vigorous-intensity exercise, such as running, soccer, or dance. It is also important to include muscle-strengthening exercise, such as push-ups, sit-ups, and lunges, at least three times per week.
