How to Increase Intake of Fluids & Pure Water

Carry a water bottle with you. If you always have a water bottle nearby, you can easily drink more water. Refilling it is as simple as finding a tap.

Keep water or a healthy juice nearby when spending time on a computer or watching television. You will drink it while distracted by whatever you are doing, and your fluid intake will increase easily.

Drink water or juice with your meals, instead of soda or anything else. This will add at least one glass per day to your total, and possibly two or three.

Eat more fruits and vegetables. Many of these healthy foods contain a lot of water. For example, watermelon is comprised of more than 90 percent water. Tomatoes and cucumbers are also good sources of water.
