How to Reduce Fat & Cellulite
Cellulite, also referred to as cottage cheese and orange peel skin, can be caused by genetics, hormones, unhealthy eating habits and tight underwear. There are many salons treatments that promise to rid your body of cellulite, but they are costly and temporary. There is no surefire way to completely get rid of cellulite, but you can reduce the appearance of your lumpy skin by lowering your body fat through diet and exercise.Instructions

1
Lose weight gradually by reducing your caloric intake on a daily basis. Cellulite consists of fat, water and waste matter, and by reducing your weight, you work toward fat and cellulite loss. Aim to lose between one and two pounds per week because quick weight loss is often that of water and muscle tissue; not fat.

2
Consume low calorie, nutrient-rich foods such as fruits and vegetables. Include high-fiber, whole-grain products to promote digestive health. Avoid fatty meats such as pork and beef and go for lean protein from chicken and fish. Ban fried foods, sugar and processed foods that often contain unhealthy saturated and trans fats. Consume foods with unsaturated fats instead, including raw nuts and olive oil.

3
Wear loose fitting underwear. Tight fitting under garments can limit the body's blood flow, causing cellulite.

4
Walk for 45 minutes six days of the week to slim and tone your legs and increase your metabolism. Add intervals where you speed up to a jog or sprint for several minutes to speed up fat burn. Map out different routes, if you walk outdoors, to avoid getting bored.

5
Tone your muscles with resistance training. Use your own body weight, free weights or gym machines to increase muscle tissue. Optimize fat burn by working on all-over muscle toning. Exercise on three non-consecutive days of the week.

6
Drink water to flush toxins from your system, deliver nutrients to cells and promote digestive health. Try to drink six to eight glasses of water per day.

7
Scrub your skin with a loofah in a circular, massaging motion while in the shower. Scrubbing your skin promotes blood circulation, removes dead skin and makes for better absorption of firming and moisturizing lotions.
