How to Repair an Exercise Bike

Many aspects of exercise bike repairs are related to general maintenance and the tightening or replacing of bolts. You should be able to address other aspects, such as the replacement of bike seats and drive belts, as well, if you want to successfully maintain your bike.Things You'll Need

1
Replace a seat by unscrewing the nuts and washers that hold the seat in place. Align the new seat onto the corresponding area. Reinsert the nuts and washers, and tighten them in place with a wrench.

2
Change the drive belt by locating the belt on the right of the bike (on the majority of models) and removing the old belt. If your bike has a protective plastic casing around the belt, remove the bolts holding it in place and set the casing aside. Thread the new belt over the belt wheel and around both pulleys to keep it in place. Replace the protective casing.

3
Tighten all bolts, washers and screws. Replace any in need of repair.
