How to Lose Ten Pounds in a Sauna
Saunas are great for quickly losing weight because they cause you to sweat a lot of moisture out of your body. Since water makes up the majority of your body weight, you can drop pounds in a hurry. This can be helpful if you need to lose weight fast, such as if you are a boxer or wrestler who needs to fit into a certain weight classification later that day. However, this method comes with risks. It dehydrates you quickly and puts you at risk of hypothermia or heat stroke, so be sure to seek the guidance of a strength and conditioning coach as well as a nutritionist before trying it.Things You'll Need

1
Rub a makeup remover such as Albolene all over your body before getting into the sauna. This will open the pores and heat the skin to make you sweat more.
-
2
Put on the sauna suit, a garment made of waterproof fabrics that causes you to sweat heavily. You can purchase a sauna suit online or at many major retailers.
-
3
Sit in the sauna for 15 minutes at a time, and then come out and wipe yourself off for three to five minutes before going back in so your body will continue to sweat. Re-apply the makeup as necessary.
-
4
Drink nothing to replace the water. Suck on ice chips and spit them out to relieve the unpleasantness of dehydration.
-
5
Repeat these steps for about two hours, and you should lose about 10 pounds in water weight. Carefully rehydrate over the course of the day to replenish the water you've lost.
