How to Design an Athletic Training Facility
Gyms are becoming increasingly popular as people are paying more attention to their fitness levels. If you live in the city, it can be difficult to get in your exercise through running or biking. If you also have a hectic and busy lifestyle, then you may not have time for a commercial health club. Thankfully, you can get the same type of exercise from a home gym.Instructions

Evaluate the cost. Creating a gym in your home is not a complicated process, but you will need to figure out if you are able to do so from a financial standpoint. Aside from making space, you will also need to factor in the price of exercise equipment. Unless you have a lot of windows, an air conditioning system is also required.

Consider hiring professional help for the difficult design jobs. Although you may be able to do the job yourself, a professional will make the task much easier and faster.

Calculate the space required for your fitness equipment. Space is the biggest issue for small gyms, so estimate the room size before buying any machines. An ideal area will be at least 120 square feet. Also take into account the ceiling height because some machines are very tall. If the flooring is wood, you may want to add carpet over it to prevent the area from getting damaged or scratched.

Add some variety to your gym. Variety is the key to results. You should have equipment that can work every single area of your body. Some examples will include a treadmill, exercise bike, bench press machine, weight bench and dumbells. If you cannot afford extensive equipment for your upper body, buying a set of dumbbells will guarantee the same results. Dumbbells are perfect for a personal training facility because they are small and easy to use. They are also much cheaper compared to large machines.
