Fortunately, it's not impossible to loose the extra underarm flab that you may be carrying. Getting rid of this problem is a matter of a multidimensional approach that targets your body and your lifestyle.

Burn excess fat that may be contributing to your underarm sagging. You can do this through regular cardiovascular exercise. Participate in an activity that raises your breathing and heart rates for about 30 minutes or more. Examples of cardio exercises include walking, jogging, dancing, biking and most sports in which you are moving most of the time.

Strengthen and tone your triceps. These are the muscles located along the underside of your arm. You can work on these muscles through a variety of simple exercises such as push-ups, chin-ups and weight lifting that targets your triceps. One such weight-lifting exercise consists of holding a dumbbell in your hand, leaning forward slightly and extending one foot slightly in front of you with your knee bent slightly. Hold your arm out behind you and extend your elbow so that your arm is parallel to the floor. Bring your arm and the weight back to a 90 degree angle so that your fist is pointing toward the floor and repeat.

Eat a balanced diet that is low in fat and calories. Focus on vegetables, fruits, whole grains and lean meats, and avoid "junk" foods and sugary snacks. Eating healthily can help to reduce your body fat and to improve your overall strength and stamina.

Talk with your doctor about the possibility of undergoing a brachioplasty. This is a surgery that is commonly called an "arm lift." During the surgery, a surgeon tightens the skin and removes excess fat in the tricep area.
