1
Remove the empty bottle from the cooler. This is the perfect time to clean the inside of the cooler well and spout. Fill the well with vinegar. Use the spout to remove the vinegar and then fill with clean water several times to rinse. Ensure that the well is completely empty before installing the new bottle.

2
Remove the cap from the new water bottle by pulling the tap. The bottom portion of the tab will come off with the cap. Wipe off any dirt or debris on the bottle with paper towel. This will ensure that dirt does not corrupt the water once the new bottle is installed.

3
Lift the bottle, ensuring that you lift with your legs and not your back. Hold the bottom end of the bottle cradled in one arm and place your other hand where the spout and bottle meet.
-
4
Pour the water from the bottle into the well. As you pour the water into the well, slowly move the bottle into an upright position until it is setting on the cooler in the well. If the well is empty when you start, you will have plenty of time to slowly get the bottle into an upright position before the well fills.
