How to Assemble an Elliptical Machine
Purchasing an elliptical machine online means it will be delivered in a box. The box is complete with instructions, parts, nuts, bolts, washers and hex wrenches. Unless you pay extra to have someone set up the elliptical machine, it is you and the box full of parts. Do not assemble the elliptical in one room, say the living room, thinking you are going to move it to the actual room you want to use. The box the machine comes in is very heavy and the chances the elliptical will fit through doors when fully assembled are slim.Instructions

1
Move the delivery box to the room you are going to use. Some machines can weigh up to 160 pounds when fully assembled, and lifting and moving the machine might be too much for one person. Check to see all parts are included and not damaged. Check to see you have all the nuts and bolts and that they are the right size. If there is any discrepancy this is the time to fix it and get the parts missing or repaired.

2
Find the front and rear stabilizers. Adjust the holes with the frame and screw into place.

3
Grasp the wire harness, which is on the base of the machine and inside the upright connector and secure to the end of the wire and tie to the harness. Pull the wire through the top of the harness. Insert the bottom end into the upright connector and secure in place with the screws provided.

4
Grease the axle and slide it through an opening in the center of the upright. Attach the body legs onto the ends of the axle and secure into place with the screws provided.
-
5
Look inside the right upper arm for wiring and connect to the wire harness and feed into the console. Attach the right upper arm to the corresponding body leg and secure into place. Repeat this process for the left upper arm.
-
6
Attach the remaining wires as instructed to the underside of the console unit and then place on top of the upright and secure into place with the screw provided.
-
7
Attach cosmetic pieces as provided. Always test the elliptical before use to verify all parts have been secured in place and nothing is missing. The type of machine you purchased will determine the amount of time it takes to assemble.
