    • For a healthy diet, eat a rainbow of foods. According to Michael George, its more about what you do eat rather than what you don't. Many people do not get enough vegetables and fruit in their daily diet. George suggests tasting the rainbow. He encouraged Reese Witherspoon to start eating one or two servings of fruits or vegetables from each color group of produce. The colors include green, red, blue, purple, yellow and orange. Each color group contains different nutrients that are essential for health. Remembering to eat a variety of colors will ensure that you get enough of these vitamins and antioxidants.

    • Rely on the basic principles of weight loss in order to be successful. There is no way around cardio and strength training. Even celebrities don't have a magical way to forgo this. If you want to see results, you have to commit yourself to 30 to 45 minutes of cardio three times a week. Michael George likes to see his clients boost their water intake up a bit. For the average person, 64 ounces of water per day may be sufficient, but for someone who is trying to lose weight and get toned, he recommends up to 100 ounces. Water is essential to the functioning of body systems and helps keep your energy going throughout the day. Next time you feel hungry between meals, try drinking a glass of water before you reach for a snack. Thirst is often mistaken for hunger, so water may help keep you feeling full.
