Uses of a Sweat Suit

A sweat suit, when worn in a sauna or during an exercise routine, has benefits, including removing toxins from the body through sweat, dropping excess water weight and improving the immune system through the removal of free radicals. Wear the suit in moderation to prevent dehydration and heat stroke, and remove it if you feel lightheaded or dizzy.
  1. Use

    • A sweat suit can help you easily drop a few pounds through the loss of water weight. You can find a sweat suit at sporting good stores and even some retail stores. Wearing your suit while exercising or relaxing in the sauna can release toxins and free radicals through sweating, which improves your internal health and skin.

The one-size-fits-all suit has elastic around the arms and neck. A sweat suit is also ideal to wear during outdoor activities through the winter because it keeps the body heat inside the suit, allowing you and your muscle to stay warm and limber. Wash as needed after use, following the care instructions on the inside of the suit.

    Cautions

    • People who use sweat suits often do not practice moderation, so they can try and lose an increased amount of weight. While the suit allows you to drop a few pounds of water weight through sweating, never exceed more than 10 to 15 minutes in the sauna. Because the fabric is not breathable, there is no way for the body to cool off once it becomes hot. Excess sweating might cause electrolyte loss or dehydration, so drink plenty of water or sports drinks while wearing the suit.

If you begin to feel dizzy, overheated or lightheaded, take the suit off immediately to cool down. Speak with your physician before wearing the suit, especially if you have diabetes, heart disease or high blood pressure.
