Flat Belly Diet Plan

The Centers for Disease Control calculated that approximately 60 million citizens in the United States are obese. Man people are trying to slim down and get a flat belly, but have failed miserably. If you want to lose weight and get a flat belly then you're going to need to combine diet with vigorous exercise.
  1. Limit Saturated Fat

    • According to the American Heart Association, saturated fat intake should be limited to 7 percent of total daily calories because it can result in rapid weight gain. Fast foods are particularly high in saturated fat and need to be avoided when on a flat belly diet plan. For example, a double cheeseburger from McDonald's has 11 g of saturated fat and a Whopper sandwich with cheese has 16 g of saturated fat. Candy bars, potato chips and processed foods are also extremely high in saturated fats. The most important part of losing weight and getting a flat belly is to reduce saturated fat intake.

    Stick To Protein

    • If you consume too many carbohydrates then they will be converted to fat within your body. For this reason, foods that are high in protein are a great thing to include in a flat belly diet plan. Milk is a particularly good beverage to include in your flat belly diet plan because it contains the optimal 2 to 1 ratio of carbohydrates to protein.

    Exercise Daily

    • Exercising daily is perhaps the most important part of a flat belly diet plan. During exercise, your goal should be to elevate your heart rate as high as possible. If your heart rate is higher you will be able to lose weight at a more rapid weight. Exercising will also help to build up your abdominal muscles, which will also allow you to get a flatter belly. Running, biking and hiking are all great exercises that you can do to get a flat belly. Swimming is an even better exercise because it forces the abdominal muscles to work extremely hard. Swimming is also a great alternative to running because it puts little stress on the body.

    Stay Hydrated

    • According to the Ohio State University Extension Program, drinking water may help with weight loss. This has to do with the fact that drinking large amounts of water helps to reduce appetite for other foods. Water also helps to increase metabolism throughout the day which can also help with weight loss. If you follow this strategy then you'll be able to get a flat belly in no time at all.
