How to Check Ideal Weight
If just starting to lose weight, you may not know what a good ideal weight is for your body type. Often times, you may think thinner is better, but you should always make sure to find a solid middle ground between your ideal weight and your health. Ideal weight can vary based on frame and height. Once you have those measurements, you can be sure to check what your ideal weight should be.Things You'll Need
- Tape measure or measuring tape
- Pencil

Take your height measurement using either a tape measure or measuring tape. You can do this by marking your height on a wall with a pencil and then measuring the height of the mark on the wall.

Measure around your wrist using your tape measure to figure out your frame size. See the Resource section for a chart that will convert your height and wrist size into your body frame size.

Consult a body weight calculator. There are many available online. See the Resources section for a few links. Body weight calculators will allow you to pop in your height and frame information to tell you your ideal body weight.
