How to Remove Fat From Your Body Using Herbs
Dieting is hardly possible without eliminating some of your favorite foods. Weight loss programs generally utilize one of two approaches: thermogenics, which increases your metabolism and burns your fat faster, or appetite suppression, to reduce your caloric intake. While pills and extreme diets can provide temporary results, the use of some herbs can expedite weight loss in a healthier, natural way. Some herbs help clear your body's intestinal tract to facilitate digestion and thus reduce weight gain.Things You'll Need

- Guarana
- Milk thistle (capsule or liquid extract)
- Fucoxanthine capsules
- Hoodia capsules
- Vitamin B-12 patch or injection
- Vitamin B-complex capsules

- Aloe vera (gel or extract)
- Water
Instructions
-
Increase your metabolism and suppress your appetite
-
1
Go to your local health foods store and buy some green tea packets and supplements and beverages that contain lipotropin, fucoxanthine and guarana, which are gentle thermogenics, or fat burners.
-
2
Brew the green tea. Shizuoka Tea exporters suggest heating or boiling water to between 140 degrees to 194 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on the type of tea. Steep 1 tsp. of loose tea leaves or pearls per cup of water for 1 to 3 minutes.
-
3
Supplement your meals with gentle herbal supplements. You can take capsules with lipotropin or fucoxanthine 2 to 3 times a day after meals. According to Andrea Sylvia, a retired nurse who owns A Touch of Heaven Spa in Gainesville, Florida, these ingredients are safe and effective. She says you can start seeing results within 2 weeks.
-
4
Try beverages that contain low levels of guarana. Guarana drinks will increase your metabolism, as long as the beverages are not high in sugars.
-
5
Ask your doctor for a vitamin B-12 patch or injection. Vitamin B-12 increases your body's energy levels, which will help you burn fat, but it does not work as effectively if you take it orally, according to Sylvia.
-
6
Find herbal diet pills that contain hoodia and its active ingredient, p57, at your local drugstore, or purchase it online. Sylvia says this ingredient sends a signal to your brain giving you the sensation of satiety.
-
7
Try herbal capsules or extracts that contain phentermine, caralluma and/or fimbriata. These plant-based appetite suppressants are relatively gentle if used in the appropriate amounts. Per a clinical trial performed by John's National Academy of Health Sciences in India, a 500 mg capsule of caralluma fimbriata can be taken before a regular meal.
Detoxification
-
8
Cleanse your digestive organs by including milk thistle extract into your diet. According to the University of Maryland's Medical Center, you can consume 200 to 400 mg 1 to 3 times per day to pull toxins from your digestive tract. Sylvia says garlic extract capsules will also do the job. If you opt for fresh garlic, take 4 g or 8 mg of garlic oil as suggested in the Vitamins and Health Supplements Guide. Cilantro is equally effective.
-
9
Add 1 to 3 tsp. of ground flax seed or barley to yogurt, cereal or oatmeal twice daily to capture those released toxins, to avoid their re-absorption into your bloodstream and organs.
-
10
Flush out the toxins with fenugreek, Bishop's weed or ginger root. The Vitamins and Supplements Guide suggests three doses of 1 to 2 g of fenugreek daily. Additionally, Sylvia says aloe vera helps reduce inflammation. The Vitamins and Health Supplements Guide suggests taking 30 mL of aloe vera (about 2 tbsp.) three times per day.
