How to Use a Scale to Weigh Yourself
For many, weighing themselves becomes an obsession--especially when dieting. A person will get on the scale several times a day, wanting to see a decrease in weight and ending up disappointed when he doesn't see the desired results. But there's a right and wrong way to measure your weight. Stick to the following routine each time you use a scale in order to provide greater consistency and accuracy.Instructions

1
Plan to weigh yourself in the morning, right after you wake up and use the restroom. Wear minimal, light clothing to avoid distorted results.
-
2
Place the scale on a flat, hard surface, such as a floor without carpeting.
-
3
Plant both feet firmly, parallel to each other, on the scale.
-
4
Stand still without shifting your weight until the arrow stops moving. The number at which the arrow stabilizes is your weight measurement.
