How to Burn Cellulite Fast

Cellulite can form in men and women, although women are more prone to the orange-peel skin condition because they have more body fat. Many commercial products and treatments promise to help you get rid of your lumpy skin. However, expensive surgery, wraps and anti-cellulite lotions only provide temporary results -- and besides, it's nearly impossible possible to get rid of cellulite completely, only to reduce its appearance. A more affordable way to reduce the appearance of cellulite is to eat nutritious foods and get plenty of exercise.

Instructions

Consider a cardiovascular exercise routine. Walk or jog outdoors or on a treadmill, ride a stationary bike or ride a bike outdoors, or swim laps. Perform cardiovascular exercise for at least 30 minutes, five days of the week. Find a variety of exercises that you enjoy so you can stick with it and keep challenging your body.

Include interval training in your workout sessions. Run or walk at an easy pace for two minutes before accelerating to a high-intense pace for one to two minutes. Switch back and forth between intensities over the duration of your workout. Because interval training forces your body to work harder, you burn more calories than you would with regular same-intensity exercise.

Incorporate strength training to maintain and increase muscle tissue. Muscle tissue raises your resting metabolic heart rate, making you burn fat even when you're at rest. Use free weights, weightlifting machines, resistance bands or your body weight to perform strength training exercises. Exercises such as lunges, squats, overhead presses, seated leg curls, biceps curls and hip adduction and abduction help tone your muscles and reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Eat nutritious foods. If your diet consists mainly of unhealthy fatty, sugary foods, your body fat may increase and your cellulite may worsen. Focus on foods such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy and unsaturated fats. Drink at least eight glasses of water daily to flush your system and promote digestive health.
