How to Lose Kankles

Kankles, a commonly-used term to refer to a person's over-sized ankles, typically result from obesity. Kankles can also occur due to the lack of exercise. Some people have kankles simply because of genetics. Regardless of the reason, people usually consider kankles unattractive and undesirable. By living a healthy lifestyle along with routine exercise, you can turn kankles back into ankles.

Instructions

Begin to lose your kankles by also losing weight. You cannot target one part of your body alone for weight loss. Find a friend who would be willing to exercise and diet with you, as this will help keep both of you motivated.

Develop a healthy eating plan. Create a menu that includes five to six small-portioned meals per day. Make these small meals low in fat and sodium. Include foods that are high in protein and greens. You should also avoid foods that contain large amounts of carbohydrates. Schedule your meals in advance to avoid cheating.

Join a local gym, or exercise at home instead if you do not feel comfortable going to a gym. Begin an exercise routine that you will feel comfortable doing. Your routine should include both resistance training and cardiovascular training. Include calf raises in your routine, as this will help target the ankle area.

Track your progress. Your notes should include your weight, ankle measurements and exercise progress. Record this information at least once per week. Review your previous weeks to determine if what you are doing is working. You may also want to photograph your ankles to help visualize your progress.
