Blobfish (Psychrolutes marcidus) are deep-sea fish that can weigh up to 20 pounds (9 kg). They are made up of a gelatinous substance that is less dense than water, allowing them to float along the sea floor without having to swim. Blobfish are found in the deep waters of the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, where they live at depths of up to 4,000 feet (1,200 meters).
