How to Wear a Hotsling
The Hotsling is an alternative to a traditional baby carrier. It is a circular, cloth sling worn diagonally across the body to help support the weight of a baby or toddler. It permits the parent slightly more freedom to use her arms without having to balance a baby with one while juggling a bottle or something else with the other. The Hotsling can be altered to hold nursing babies or to carry a baby up to 8 months old.Instructions

1
Hold the Hotsling in both hands and unfold it. The padded section and the curved seam should be visible and next to each other.
-
2
Fold the Hotsling in half to create a tube with two layers. If the baby is a newborn, the padded section goes on the outside of the tube shape. If it's a toddler, the padded section goes on the inside of the tube shape.

3
Grab the curved seam section of the Hotsling. Hold the Hotsling with that curved seam and padded section at the bottom. Slip the entire Hotsling over your head, sliding one arm through but resting the Hotsling on the opposite shoulder.
-
4
Adjust the padded section and curved seam so it rests between the waistline and hip, with the other side of the Hotsling over the shoulder on the other side of the body. The main portions of the Hotsling should cross the front and back of the torso on a diagonal that resembles a sash.

5
Hold the baby with one arm (the nondominant arm) and adjust the Hotsling so the curved seam lines up under the other shoulder, with the padded section on the outside of the Hotsling.
-
6
Open the two-layers of the Hotsling folded in half in step 1 to create a cradle area for the baby. The curved seam and padded sections should be in front of the parent's body.
-
7
Line the baby (in the nondominant arm) up with the curved seam in the Hotsling and carefully open the Hotsling up around the baby. Slip the baby in between the folded two layers.
